ReplyDeleteOh, we usually give fresh homemade cookies to my husbands co-workers and daughters teachers. They are usually really appreciated these days now that fewer people have time to bake!
I always make a huge batch of choc chip cookies and put them on a nice plate for a last minute present. They are always a big hit!
ReplyDeleteWhat great ideas!! How about making an advent calendar that a family or someone can use next year!
ReplyDeleteGreat, great ideas Joy!!! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy fav last minute gift is a mug with coffee/tea wrapped in cellophane.
Awesome ideas - thank you!
ReplyDeleteA really easy gift that my neighbor did this year was to give out cookie dough - the kind in a tube. She wrapped it up very nicely like a piece of candy, w/ brown kraft package paper, then a piece of patterned paper on top, with ribbon on each end. She also included baking instructions on her little card tied w/ the ribbon at one end...easy and very practical so you can have warm cookies any time you like!
Just this afternoon my daughter and I made candy canes from pipe cleaners and beads. An easy thing for her to do and a great gift for her grandparent.
ReplyDeleteMake a button bouquet for someone special. Stack vintage or new buttons and use green florist wire to hold them together and for the stems. A gift of flowers that never dies! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite gift this year is to give a gratitude journal. I used the Moleskin kraft journal and covered it with punched circles from my scraps. I used Ali Edward's example from her book. Inside I put a quote about gratitude and the rest of the book is for them to fill with daily gratitudes. It's a gift for the whole year long.
ReplyDeleteI like to make small scrapbook ornaments to give. Usually 3x3 minis that have a ribbon to hang it on the tree. Sometimes the photos are from a special event. Sometimes it's just random photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! I love to make ornaments too.
ReplyDeleteA gift that I like to give is a decorated post it note booklet that comes with a pen/pencil attached. These can be personalised to suit the owner.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Anna D
I love the family name art- I am totally going to whip some of those up- those are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is always full of inspiration!
Happy Holidays to you and your family.

ReplyDeleteGet some Moleskin journals from Borders for Barnes & Noble (a package of three large ones for $10), get your square punch, some Mod-Podge, and some pretty papers and alter it... keeping your background raw/kraft. Looks great and doesn't take very long! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of these great ideas! I'm going to save these so I can make some cute teacher gifts next year. I don't know if anyone else has suggested this already, and it's a variation of your first idea, but you can decorate some glass ornaments with alcohol inks and glitter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the gift ideas! I will be using some of those :) Another quick gift idea is to make a bookmark with whatever is in our scrapbook stash and add a Barnes and Noble (or whatever bookstore) gift card.
ReplyDeleteLove the ideas. I want to post one, but the things i usually do are already on your list!
ReplyDeleteLove the ideas, especially the magnets!
ReplyDeleteI really love these kind of things!
I was just at this site where they had all these motivational and inspirational refrigerator magnets and I got a bunch of them. They were really cool with funny original sayings like "obsession is not a hobby" (i got THAT one for sure hahaha) :)
...and stuff about love and friendship too.
I am going to give some to my friends and co-workers:)
