start by punching out several different sizes of circles with a good mix of patterned paper.
cut them in half.mix the different cut pieces around an image that's been punched in circle to create petals.
add some texture by sewing around the petals.
voila.
beautiful. Love that tip.

ReplyDeleteI am a beginning to learn to use the sewing machine in layouts; how do you get such perfect-looking circles? I can't seem to turn the paper enough. What am I doing wrong?
ReplyDeletelol April.
ReplyDeleteHaily, I actually have a hard time myself. that's why I usually make 2-3 passes around. it gives it the illusion that it is a perfect circle. :) i just sew slowly as i'm turning my paper. take a piece a cardstock and practice a few times. it'll get easier.
thanks everyone!
