Sunday Sketch

This week's sketch is based on a layout by Emily Pitts. I love that this sketch leaves lots of room for journaling and for an extended title.

Notice how Emily used a patterned paper as the background, yet the layout doesn't seem "busy". The paper she chose is a small pattern, tone on tone, so the journaling can be easily read, and there is visual interest beyond a plain piece of cardstock.

To complete the page, Emily added some decorative borders and butterflies.

Now it's your turn! Interpret this sketch any way you'd like, and link it to this post by Saturday for a chance to win one of 2 Studio Calico gift cards.
