Sunday Sketch

This week's sketch is based on a layout by Nicole Harper using the Open Pasture add-on kit (still available). She used a slightly cropped 4x6" photo, and added border strips from the Sassafras paper + created some of her own using border punches. She also used the butterfly stamp set from the Fresh Cut add-on in combination with the Royal & Classic Butterfly punches by Martha Stewart. Notice how she embellished right on top of her photo. Another design technique that Nicole implemented was balancing out her bold title with a similar color at the bottom of her page. Her journaling is then placed in the open space in between which gives a nice flow to the page.

Now it's your turn! Take this sketch and make it your own for a chance to win one of 2 Studio Calico gift cards. Be sure to link your layout to this post by midnight EST Saturday.

Have fun!
