"Leftovers" Challenge!

Hi Everyone!!!

Susan here today to post the challenge of the week... Lisa and I will be hosting the blog this week, and after all the fun of NSD this past weekend, we thought it would be a good idea to do a "second-chance" or "leftovers" type of challenge.

Soooooooooooo.... Our challenge for you is....

Pick one of the NSD Challenges that you didn't have time to do, and do it!

Your "second-chance" challenge can be any of the listed challenges, but just to share what Lisa & I came up with, here is Lisa's "scrap a camera phone pic" challenge layout (which i LOVE!!!)...

So go ahead and choose one of the challenges that you didn't have time to get to, and upload to the SC gallery, and then link your project to THIS BLOG POST by midnight PST on Saturday night...

update on the Blown Fuse Wallpaper Project!!

hey everyone!!

just heard back from Lisa Whiteing (she was out enjoying National Scrapbook Day!!) regarding her project seen above using the Blown Fuse paper from the HomeFront collection. would you believe she achieved this awesome look with just a paper trimmer, a pencil, and some re-stickable poster tack??!! this girl is simply amazing, and her mind seems to work on a different creative level than mine!!

Sunday Sketch

This week's sketch is based on a layout by Waleska Neris. This sketch is sized 8.5x11", but could easily be adapted to a 12x12" layout. It uses a 3x4" photo, which is an easy size to use since it's half of a 4x6" photo. Again, this week, several edges are used, whether by trimming patterned paper or using border punches.

Waleska placed her journaling above the photo and the title directly below the photo. This design is simple, organized, and beautiful to look at.

Inspiration DELUXE!

there's love for Studio Calico, and then there's this: why, yes...that is the Blown Fuse paper from HomeFront...used as WALLPAPER!!

i tried reaching Lisa Marie Whiteing after April forwarded me her email that included this photo to get some tips on how-to, but haven't heard from her yet and was dying to share this with you all!! what an AWESOME way to brighten up that window seat area!!
