I have a recipe for sweet potato souffle that is to die for. It's nothing complicated, but it is a
favorite recipe and Thanksgiving wouldn't be the same for us without it..have a good one.

I {heart} a turkey sandwich the next day!! I always make sure to have lots of turkey left over for sammies because I make them in many different ways, traditional, sweet-n-savory, melted, you name it:)

OK, this year my neice is sick so my favorite dish, I mean my sister won't be coming this year with her Corn Casserole. I also love my moms fruit salad, she had pudding and whip cream in it, how could that ever be bad! I also love the mashed potatoes, don't tell but I'v tried to sneak more butter into them, they are soooooo good. I know we were to pick one but I can't, it is just not possible!

While we were living in NYC, we've been invited for Thanksgiving by a scrapbooker i met on the web. we were so glad to have this chance, it's one of the greater experiences we made in the US. of course we had the traditional stuffed turkey and pumpkin pie... it was sooooo good... such a good memory !

My favorite dish is the candied sweet potatoes with marshmallows. I use LOTS of marshmallows. I have wonderful memories of our daughter, during her first Thanksgiving with us, holding a giant sweet potato in her hand and shoveling it in. I am so happy I got good pictures of that. :-) She was not quite 2 and LOVED to eat!

Thanksgiving is my favorite meal (& holiday time) of the year! There are just so many wonderful things about it. It would be hard but if I had to pick one favorite food it would have to be my family's dressing w/giblet gravy. Looking forward to leftovers tomorrow! Happy Thanksgiving! Kristin A.

apple pie!!

Angela L. said...

I'm an "odd" one who doesn't really go for the traditional Holiday foods... Don't get me wrong, I can deal with a Turkey Breast (don't care for a whole turkey because it goes to waste here) and I do love mash potatoes but they have to be really sinful with lots of butter, sour cream and shredded cheese... but I just don't like anything pumpkin, sweet potato, or cranberry. I am very thankful that for my family, the holidays mean loads and loads of homemade Mac & Cheese, now that is my ALL time favorite dish and I could eat it every day (oh and to heck with the ever expanding waist that would result from that, lol!)
