help me...i'm willing to bribe you.

i LOVE altered items.
or projects that use scrappy stuff in cool ways.
but i really struggle with ideas for them.

i mean, look at what our fabulous Nicole Samuels did with a tree from Target and a set of 3-D Making Memories stickers!! do you know how awesome this would look with my vintage Halloween collection?! and one of our dear members, akaliz, made lemonade from lemons with this frame she picked up at Goodwill...how do people think of this stuff?!

i love this kind of stuff...but my brain just does not think that way, lol.
so if you have a link to something cool that shows scrap supplies being used for something other than pages, cards or mini-albums, could you link me up here??
oh...and the bribe.
my RAK stash has been growing exponentially...so i would love to share it with a fellow SC'er. along with scrappy stuff, i'll throw in some vintage trim and paper goodies...just hook a sister up!!
=)

I wish I had half their talent. My altering is confined (so far) to tins, paint cans and lunch boxes. For inspiration I go to twopeasinabucket.com - they have so many talented crafters. You can do a search on "altered" and see items such as altered chicken wire. Who knew? Check it out.

I'm with Kimberly... I LOVE scouting flea markets and antique shows for cool items that can be altered.

Better yet... we tore down an old chicken coop on our property and replaced it with a new workshop for my hubby. You should have seen me hopping up and down as the old window panes were (carefully) removed from the old coop. I retained them to alter. The first one I re-did has three openings at the top of the pane and those contain 2 8.5x11 inch layouts of my son's first horse show. One long opening along the bottom is fitted with chicken wire. I hang notes and little goodies from the wire. If you'd like to see photos, please send me an email me at: wadev@grinnell.edu. I'd love to share the finished project with anyone!

My next project...? An altered antique book that opens to reveal all kinds of goodies. And then on to an altered typesetter's "drawer".

P.S. Check out junkmarketstyle.com. Their ideas and book are super cool. Although they focus more on altered furniture and home decor, they occasionally feature altered paper-crafts.

these are too cute. i've also seen the same concept for magnets.

another thing that comes to mind is Stephanie's barrettes that she made using those OA rubber charms.
