Becoming Green
In October's kit, LOOKING GLASS, we featured the butterfly paper from this Tinkering Ink line. It was such a hit, we now have 2 collection packs (2 each of 6 papers), to give away.
I can certainly tell you that I'm definitely not 100% green, but I do try to do what I can. When I worked as a rep, I used to get lots of small boxes with samples each month. Instead of giving them to the recycling company, which would have been easy to do, I recycled them by giving them to my dad who manages a book store. He reused the boxes to ship books. It was a perfect arrangement: I got rid of my boxes and he didn't have to buy as many. Recycling at it's best!
So, if you'd like a chance to win this prize, post a comment here letting us know what you are doing to become green. We'll draw 2 winners this week.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 208 of 208i had a stack of scrapbook paper that I didn't use and rather than throwing it away I gave it to my daughter's teacher to put in her art center. The kids love the patterned paper - it's a nice change from regular construction paper.
My baby sucks his thumb - "pacifiers take 200-450 years to break down when disposed in landfills."
I thought that was an interesting statistic and have an idea for a layout incorporating it.
Hmmm....wouldn't it be nice to win some "green" paper to scrap it on! LOL!
i'll be recycling art posters as gift wrap this holiday season!
I am a recycling natzi! I even go to my daughter's dorm room and pick through her and her roommates things looking for bottles! I remember a time not so long ago that we didn't recycle and it's so easy I have to ask why mandatory recycling isn't in more communities!
We recycle EVERYTHING possible. infact my husband is obsessed, he recycles stuff thats not even rubbish!
I guess we just try to reuse as much as we can these days. There is very little that we only use one time anymore.
I collect items like newspaper, magazine, bottle, can, clothes, etc and pass them to the re-cycle company forthnightly.
my family recycles A LOT and we also don't turn on the water when brushing our teeth (that can save a lot of water).
we also cut down on groceries because we don't finish cooking everything.
