Wow! 1st to post!
I find the journaling hardest of all, but I think the sneak of this book shows a great idea of thinking how to tell someone about an event on the phone to give you an easier way to write it! Will give that a go!

Valerie Bishop said...

I, too find journaling so hard - mine is usually so dry - just the facts. I would love some ideas to help jumpstart my creative juices and get them flowing!

I would love to have this book, I am not very good at adding journaling to my pages. I started scrapbooking when I was pregnant with my first daughter, and back then there weren't many design options or choices of product to purchase. I would love to learn creative ways to add my story and personality to my pages.

This is a fantastic giveaway!!!! Something that probably 90% of all scrappers have problems with! :P I have really been trying to work on doing more meaningful LOs, capturing more of the everyday of my daughter and our lives. But it is not easy! This book would be perfect for helping me to document more of my thoughts and what is really happening in the now. Thanks!!!

jessicageb said...

I am pretty good at just jotting down what I feel, and go with it. But it would be an inspiring item for me more than anything. Looking for ideas on how to tell a story a little differently. Thanks ladies!

Wow, how great it would be to win this. I wonder if journaling will ever feel natural to me. Nonetheless, I'm determined to get better.

Liza said...

This book is for me because I've lost my creative writing sense. I've been working in the legal field for over 25 years and my journal is beginning to sound like a Non-Disclosure Agreement!

strtwze said...

I need this book! I'm terribly at telling the story, but really want to! I need help!

N said...

This book totally speaks to me! I put off my journaling projects probably because I tend to be a perfectionalist & a procrastinator...It has to be perfect or exactly the way I picture it in my mind & I end up never making all my ideas a reality. I guess I also take it for granted that I will remember every memory, every moment with my babies & family. I really just need to stop being my own worst enemy & dive in! I need to let my authentic voice come through! This book seems like a great tool to help me with that & give me some great inspiration!

Avital said...

This book is *me* because writing comes first to me and the rest (photos, embellishments...)second. Thanks for the chance to win.

kathleen said...

I can barely say a full sentence these days, let alone write one, LOL! I lost most of my brain cells with my 2 placentas. Trust me...I need help ; )

Journaling is the most important part of scrapbooking for me so some new inspiration is always welcome :)

Tamikko said...

I do need this book. I have lots of unfinished pages that have titles but no journaling. I actually didn't realize I was avoiding it so much. I used the excuse that we didn't have printer ink and that I'd get to it when I had the time. I would need to write it out first before using the new pen I've never used before to write it perfectly. No more excuses! It needs to get done. This book would help immensely.
Thanks for the chance to win.

I would love to have the book since journaling is the hardest part of scrapbooking for me.

I find that I struggle to tell the entire story in a heartfelt way. When I start the journaling process on a page, I tend to tell the facts instead of the feelings and emotions. I'd love to have this book to help guide me through the process to show the real me on my pages.

I've discovered that it's the story in the end that matters most. I didn't follow through with that the first few years I scrapped--it was mostly about the pictures and I thought that would prompt the memory. But I've learned writing down the memory is just as important. Since I came to this hobby late, I have 20+ years of stories to tell (not that I expect to ever finish!) so I could really use this book.

I need this book as I almost never journal. Just like this comment, I'm not really sure what to say....

i love journaling, and i think it is what truly makes the page, because it is the story behind the photo, and i think with only a photo on a page, it's not really anything at all, but with a story it is something big!
Thanks

As an editor, I am really good at wording things when it comes to work, but I always get stuck when I am trying to express something that's very personal to me. I'd love to learn new angles and techniques to think out of the box when it comes to journaling in my scrapbooks.

Cool prize. My layouts are story-centric, and I'd love some more ideas to bring that even more into focus in my work. :)
