Sunday Sketch

This week's sketch is based on a beautiful layout from Maggie Holmes' March gallery. This sketch uses one horizontal 4x6" photo, some strips of embellishments, and another 4x6" area to hold the title. The journaling fits around the outside of the 12x12" page. This sketch can VERY easily be turned to use with a vertical photo or to shrink to an 8.5x11" page.

I love that Maggie always layers embellishments. Notice the embellishments that create a clear visual separation between the photo and the title....lots off odds & ends there. Then, for her title, she mixed 3 different alphabets. Have you tried that lately?

Now it's your turn to play with the sketch! Simply post a layout anywhere on the web and give me the link to that layout in the comments section of this post by Saturday (no need to use a SC kit, but we're not going to stop you!). 2 winners will be chosen on Sunday to receive a $5 gift card to Studio Calico. Happy Scrapping!

My Joyland kit came just in time! I mostly used the Tilt-a-Whirl add-on.
