Anthology Papers

We hope you enjoy our Anthology paper release.

Some of these may seem familiar to you, as they were popular designs used in our kits. Of course, we've mixed it up with a new color scheme and some brand new "from scratch" designs as well. This paper was inspired by our first trip to CHA-Anaheim back in 2008. We took a trip up the PCH in a rental mini-van (oh yes, we were cool....we even rolled down the windows and stopped at an In-&-Out that day, too!). Along the way, we stopped at a thrift store and antique mall. I was totally intrigued. The "antiques" in California are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay different than the antiques in Kentucky. Here, you're likely to find milk-caps, quilts, tobacco ads, and razor blades...and maybe some old feedsacks for good measure. In CA, there are lots of ....um....voluptuous women in....um....embarrassing situations. On mugs, on ads, in magazines. Yep, interesting to see at an antique mall when you're from Kentucky. Well, one interesting item we found was an old criminal report sheet. We bought the whole tablet with the intention on including it in a kit, but I never could find enough to make a full kit or add-on, so here you see it incorporated into this paper design.

I think it would be so cute to scrapbook with a photo of your kids or pets after they've made a mess or done some "criminal" act to document the moment.

Crime: Vandalism (Dirt Splattering on White Sofa & Carpet)
Date of Crime: sometime in 2008
Name: Holly
Alias: Holly Wolly, Holly Berry
Age: 1
Height: 10 inches
Weight: 7 lbs
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Short
Beard: Whiskers
Complexion: Tan
Build: Athletic
Marks & Scars: 1 ear up, 1 ear down
Remarks: Never leave a puppy alone with a pot full of dirt.

And, the B side is the same camera settings paper that was featured in July's Documentary kit, but with new colors and a new look!

This paper proves Stephen can do floral quite well. He protests when I ask him, but eventually, it turns out well. ;)
Again, this B side was made after the OVERWHELMING response we had to a herringbone paper in the January Whodunit kit. The colors are different, and this one is varied from the original so that it makes you dizzy to look at :)
I love this stripe because it give you so many options. Punching things from this paper or just using a strip, stretches this paper so far. It'll look like you bought 1, 2, 3, 4...10 different patterned papers.
11 if you count the awesome pattern on the B side.

This is perhaps my favorite paper of all time. Front and back. You can't go wrong here.

Can you over-do circles? I think not :)
Several of you mentioned that you love our repeated patterns and would like to see more of those. This is one (plus the cubes below). Hope you love them as much as I do!

And, since the red alpha paper is my favorite, it's good to have a companion, don't you think?
Let me know which is your favorite and we'll do another drawing for the full collection (shipping early February).

You have until Saturday, winner will be announced on Sunday.

(((squeal))) ... that comment made me laugh.

Good to hear all the great feedback.

SC insider tidbit: the woodgrain was the last paper added a day before these were sent to press. It came from a promo we were working on and had to make an entire paper out of it.

Can't wait to see what you guys create with the line.

I am in love with the herringbone. Something very English country set about it.

Lane said...

My favorite is either the red alpha - the font looks similar to the font in the soda fountain kit, which I adore, and I find woodgrain swoontastic as of late - or the insanely wonderful blue with grey scale figures inside circles that has the *gorgeous* yellow bside - I love the contrast of the warm sunny bside with the cool, winter-y aside!
Congrats on yet another fantastic release!!
