Class Information:
Sketchbook is a 12 day class filled with fresh sketches, easy instructions, beautiful examples, and lots of fun. Beginning on March 29th to April 9th, a PDF will be delivered to your inbox each morning so you can work at your own pace. By the end of the class, you'll have a complete sketchbook of 12 sketches and over 30 example layouts. For each of the sketches you'll be receiving an example layout from Kelly Purkey, along with one or more example from a member of the incredible Studio Calico design team.
All of the examples are brand new layouts, exclusive to this class... you won't see them anywhere else! Sketchbook will also include a private message board for questions and sharing ideas, as well as two scheduled chats - all on the awesome Studio Calico website.

Sadly I have never used a sketch when scrapping......I really should as I'm sure it would be much faster than the way I create my own.

Of course I have... along with lifting, and such! I like to use sketches when I teach classes to encourage creativity of the students. I'd definitely LOVE to play with some of the great sketches in this class!

I'd say that I am guilty as charged, BUT...I don't feel guilty for using a sketch! I use them when my mojo has run out and I need a jump start.

Sketches have helped me so much in scrapbooking to find that balance of space and interest.
I use sketches for my layouts all the time! They are a great jumping off point for me to create something fun and unique in less time than it would take me to move the stuff all over the page myself.
This looks like an awesome class and with over 30 different ideas from Studio Calico girls, what more can I say, I believe I am going to sign up this week. I just got my very first kit from you last month and I have to say that I am so glad that I joined your monthly kit...SO if I don't win a spot, no worries, I will for sure sign up....

Honestly most of my stuff is based on a sketch. I love challenges and most scrapbooking challenges are based on sketches or lifts.
I absolutely love sketches when I am creating for myself. It really helps move things along and take the guess work out...would LOVE to take this class!
I LOVE using sketches! Photo placement tends to be a major block for me, so sketches are definitely a must!

Nothing better to get you out of scrapbook block as a sketch, it gets the creative juices flowing!
I do use sketches for my layouts when I participate in challenges. I enjoy it because it helps me focused and try techniques I may not incorporate in my own designs. Thanks for the chance to win this great giveaway.

Yes, I have made a page from a sketch. I often see a page somewhere...and rush to draw it out or I have been known to take pictures with my cell phone, too.

I START with a sketch, but it seems to not ever turn out like the original sketch, but that's ok, whatever it takes to get a page done!!!

I use sketches on almost every layout. With 2 little one's I'm lucky to get time to scrap so anything that helps me be productive I'm all for it. I heart sketches!!
I love sketches and use them frequently. One of my weekend getaways always have a contest based on sketch included in our welcome package. It's fun to incorporate that sketch into the theme I'm scrapping for that weekend. Kelly's class sounds like fun and it would be wonderful to win it.

I've only recently begun using sketches when I scrapbook and I love the jump start they offer. This class looks wonderful. Would love to win, but may just sign up anyway.
I only use sketches when I am really stuck (or when required by an assignment). Same thing with digital page templates. But I think they are definitely a good tool to keep in mind. And I most like seeing different people's take on the same sketch.

Have I ever! I love working from a well-designed sketch, putting my own spin on it and occasionally revisiting it for an entirely different look.
Luv sketches...just the kick in the behind I need to get started. Then, I make a right-hand turn in the middle of a cut and just do my own thing...or sit and figure out the ratio between the sketch and my 12x12 LO so I get it EXACTLY the same!!! Maybe the Easter bunny will bring me this class if I don't win.

I would looveee to learn how to start off from just a sketch. Ive used them in the past as a jumping off point but I have a really heard time getting my juices flowing from the sketch..This class would be great to get to learn how to see a sketch and create from that!

I use sketchws on a very regular basis. They make putting together a layout so much quicker and easier. I often create my own sketches using the layouts made by others as a guide. This class would be perfect for me!

My scrap time is very limited so I love sketches. I use sketches most all of the time. Sometimes, I start with a sketch and end up with a loayout that barely resembles the sketch. I've never used sketches before, I agonize over how to best display the pictures, how I want to cut the paper and how the design should look and it usually takes me a few days to figure out which one to go with. I always thought sketches wouldn't work for my pictures or fit my taste, perhaps I am wrong and overworking myself.

I am predominately a card maker and altered artist fan but I co-own a scrapbook store in Canada, personally subscribe to your Kit Club and we have ordered your new lines at CHA. I haven't done any layouts for the store with your products yet so this is the perfect opportunity to showcase it with your creations from sketches. So I guess the answer is "No" - I haven't used sketches before.

When I first started scrapping, couldn't use a sketch to save my soul. But after a stretch of time where I needed a kick in the mojo, I turned to sketches and love them. They've gotten me back into scrapping, and loving it again.

For me, sketches remove alot of the hard work. I'm no 'designer' so I often don't know why something doesn't look good here or why it just 'doesn't go' with whatever is next to it. Sketches are like blueprints, the bones af my layout are done and I just have to add the decor! Love Sketches!!

Sketches are a great jumping-off point when I'm feeling uninspired! I love them because they leave more room for interpretation. When I scraplift, I often have expectations of what my own version should look like. With a sketch, that pressure isn't there!
